Abby Taubner

Managing Director, gBETA

Abby started her career at gener8tor, initially as an Associate working directly with gener8tor’s startups. After graduating with a BBA in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014, Abby joined the team full-time and spent two years as gener8tor's Program Manager before focusing her efforts on gBETA. 


Adam Choe

Director, gBETA Medtech

Adam came to gener8tor after six years of industry and two years of academic research experience. Adam's industry experience included roles at companies such as Nestle Healthcare, WuXi AppTec and St. Jude Medical (now Abbott). Adam then transitioned to the University of Minnesota for back to back research fellowships (the first in Innovation and the second in Noninvasive Neuromodulation). Over the past eight years, he has worked with new technologies in Medtech ranging from class III devices to software. 

Adam received his Bachelor of Science in Conservation Biology and Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010. He went on to receive his Master of Science in Medical Device Innovation from the University of Minnesota in 2016.

Clare Da Silva

Director, Fellowship.art

Clare joined the gener8tor team after years of working in fundraising and arts administration at the Dallas Contemporary and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Clare spent one year leading gener8tor's Business Development team prior to focusing her efforts on Fellowship.art. 

Clare graduated from the University of Dallas in 2011 with BAs in English Literature and Art History. She is currently earning a MBA from Marquette University. 


Adrienne Palm

Director, gBETA Northeast Wisconsin
Director, gBETA Musictech

Adrienne’s path to the gener8tor team was borne out of her work in economic development, specifically launching new talent attraction and retention strategies at the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce and Fox Cities Regional Partnership. The ideation and implementation of intrapreneurial, community-wide programs such as Bazaar After Dark Night Market, Fox Cities Soup, Fox Cities YP Week and The Artery helped ignite her interest and participation in the local startup community. During her three and a half year tenure at the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce, participation in Pulse Young Professionals Network grew by 2006% and became financially self sustaining.   

Adrienne has past experience in business development, the nonprofit sector and social innovation via participation in the final cohort of Millennial Trains Project, a national social innovation incubator. Adrienne studied dance at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.


Ben Stanley

Director, gBETA Milwaukee
Managing Director, gALPHA

Ben joined the gener8tor team after four years in journalism, during which he wrote in-depth stories about a variety of industries and issues, including business, local government and healthcare. Most recently, Ben was a reporter at BizTimes Milwaukee, where he wrote about startups and entrepreneurs in southeastern Wisconsin.

Ben studied English and writing at Marquette University.


Chelsea Linder

Director, gBETA Indy

Chelsea joined the gener8tor team after managing the corporate innovation and incubation center at a private equity firm in Indianapolis. Prior to that role she was an operations manager for product and engineering at Angie’s List, where she discovered a passion for Design Thinking and customer-centered value creation. 

Chelsea graduated from Butler University in 2011 with BAs in International Studies, Spanish, and Anthropology.


Jess Kerr

Program Director, The Brandery
Director, gBETA Cincy

Jess joined the gener8tor team through the recent partnership with The Brandery.  Prior to her role as the Brandery Program Manager, she spent two years as the Director of Development for a food waste recovery nonprofit. A Cincinnati native, Jess studied Marketing at the University of Dayton and interned for the Brandery in 2015.


Maggie Brickerman

Managing Director, gBETA

Maggie came to gener8tor after ten years of working for Wisconsin political organizations and campaigns, where she gained extensive experience starting things from scratch, building high-functioning teams and managing big budgets.

A Wisconsin native, Maggie graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2008.


Ngoc Nhi Le

Director, gBETA Madison

Nhi brings years of experience with patenting and commercializing academic research to the gener8tor team. After graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology (BS in Materials Science and Engineering and BS in Biomedical Engineering), she moved to Madison to complete her PhD in Materials Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Over the past 10 years, Nhi has also worked extensively with underserved communities through nonprofit involvement with the Graduate Engineering Research ScholarsGates Millennium Scholars Program, and AmeriCorps Jumpstart.

 


Phil Fonfara

Director, gBETA Beloit

As a teen Phil started his first business which he successfully ran for five years during the summer months, before joining New North where he managed the Fast Forward startup accelerator program for two years. Most recently Phil worked in commercial banking in the Appleton area before joining the gener8tor team. 

A Wisconsin native, Phil received degrees in Business Administration and Economics from St. Norbert College.


Rachel Gunder

Project Manager, gBETA

Rachel started her career in the Communications Department of a national nonprofit organization, the Parkinson's Foundation. She assisted in the development of content, design, and use of parkinson.org, managed the company's social media presence, and contributed to the company's fundraising efforts and events. Rachel later returned to Madison, WI, where she started at gener8tor. She now works as a Project Manager for gener8tor's various accelerator programs, most notably in the gBETA Wisconsin markets.

Rachel received two Bachelor's degrees from the University of Miami, FL in Secondary Education and English with a concentration in Poetry.


Sibi Murugesan

Director, gBETA Minneapolis

Sibi has been building and supporting entrepreneurs for years. After helping lead Co-lab, a nationally-recognized startup incubator for students, Sibi worked in Best Buy's Strategic Growth Office, where he identified, built and launched $1B growth strategies for the Fortune 100 technology retailer. He's also a Startup Mentor for Junior Achievement as well as a Program Facilitator for Startup Weekend, organizations built to enable early-stage founders to accelerate their growth.

Born in India, Sibi graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Business Strategy and Applied Economics and has lived all over the U.S. 


Stella Safari

Director, gBETA Detroit

Stella brings a strong background in venture capital and startup operations to the gener8tor team. She moved to Detroit as a Venture for America Fellow after earning her degree in Mathematics and Women’s Studies from Dartmouth College. Stella began her career at Invest Detroit’s First Step Fund where she assisted companies in securing investment throughout Southeast Michigan, before heading operations for startups Floyd and Ponyride in Detroit.

Stella is originally from the Congo and is passionate about creating economic opportunities for people there through her work.
